How Charlie Morgan Went From University Dropout To Teaching Thousands How To Get Clients

Charlie Morgan learned to sell the hard way. "I took 64 sales calls before I got my first client," he told his viewers in 2026.⁹ That client was a gym owner who paid £1,000. Today Morgan runs Imperium Acquisition, which teaches agency owners, coaches and consultants how to get clients, and his free Imperium Academy on Skool had 81,665 members on October 24, 2026.^5,12

He sums up his outlook in one line that sits under his videos: "The bigger the mountain, the more interesting the climb."³

Early life

UK company records list Morgan as born in April 1998, and Famous Birthdays says he was born in England.^6,8 He grew up near the headquarters of the Clarks shoe company and has described working in its customer care team, at a golf club and in a local pub, often 90 to 100 hours a week.² He has said he read about 180 books between 17 and 20, and credits the coach Sam Ovens, whom he found through a Facebook ad at 19, with lessons that later made him a millionaire.^2,20

He studied business at Plymouth University for about six months, then left after deciding the course could not teach him to sell.^2,18 He took a sales and marketing apprenticeship instead, where most of the job was cold calling, "150 to 200 cold calls a day."²

Learning to sell

During the apprenticeship he started a gym marketing agency, calling gyms from his car before work and at lunch.^2,9 He then teamed up with Baudouin Borghans, who ran a similar agency. Their business, Northflow Consulting, reached about $100,000 a month with 64 clients at its peak, by Morgan's account.² When COVID-19 shut the gyms in 2020, the clients asked for refunds and the business collapsed.^2,3

Imperium Acquisition

Morgan and Borghans started again with Imperium, first as a done-for-you service for marketing agencies and then as a coaching and course business. Their company, Imperium Labs Ltd, was registered in September 2021, with both men as directors.^2,5,7 Imperium describes itself as a "services and advisory firm for agencies, coaches & consultants."⁴

In February 2025 he launched Imperium Academy as a free six-week program on Skool. He was open about why: "what I want to do is have this free course serve me and deliver me clients and deliver me authority and audience and trust from the market for the next 5 to 10 years."^12,13 In February 2026 he added a done-for-you agency service, and in June 2026 he announced a partnership he said would pay for some students' access to the paid tier.^14,15

His revenue claims have grown with the business and are all his own. His X profile says "$40M+ made selling information online," and his video descriptions put the business at about $10 million a year.^3,11 Imperium Labs' latest accounts, for the year to September 2025, list about £1.19 million in net assets and do not report turnover, so they neither confirm nor contradict those figures.⁷

Dubai and back

Morgan spent about two years living on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai and said he "originally moved there to avoid paying tax." In April 2025 he moved back to the UK and published "2 Years in Dubai | Brutally Honest Review," one of his two most-watched videos with more than 1.4 million views.¹⁰ He now lives in London.¹¹

What he teaches

On October 24, 2026, his main YouTube channel had 319,000 subscribers.¹ His programs cover offers, cold outreach by email, direct message and phone, sales calls and appointment setting.⁴ His main channel has since moved toward focus and productivity. "You'll NEVER Watch Short Form Again After Watching This," from June 2025, is his most-watched video, with almost two million views.¹⁶ He has been a guest of Simon Squibb and of Mike Thurston's First Things THRST podcast, and his first podcast appearance was on Squibb's HelpBnk in 2024.^17,18,19

He said that in his 2024 life story video, which also tells how he made his first money.²

Controversy

In 2026 Morgan moved weeks three to six of his free Imperium Academy behind a paywall, and some members complained on Reddit.²¹ He said the reason was the course's own success: after 65,000 people took it, his paying clients were facing "hundreds of new competitors" using his original sales script. Weeks one and two are still free.¹⁴

Associated with

Eric Kavelaars was his client. Morgan published Kavelaars's story, "How to build a $30k per month SMMA (Eric's story)," in February 2023 and called him "a client of mine, but also a friend of mine at this point."^22,23 Kavelaars later wrote that he "was also the cold calling coach for Charlie Morgan's Easygrow for a year," and in 2025 he filmed "I Lived Next to Charlie Morgan for a Week" during a client retreat in Dubai.^24,25

He and Liam Ottley both lived in Dubai while building their businesses, and both published reviews of their two years there: Ottley's "2 years in Dubai - my honest thoughts" and Morgan's "2 Years in Dubai | Brutally Honest Review."^10,26

He and AI developer Eric Otten have both made videos about life in Dubai as entrepreneurs, and both have Famous Birthdays profiles.^8,10,28,29

He and Nick Saraev both run Skool programs built around landing a first client: Imperium Academy and Saraev's Maker School.^12,27

He and fellow YouTube star Nate Herk are both listed as YouTube Stars on Famous Birthdays.^8,30

He and William Brown are both British entrepreneurs who moved to Dubai. Brown's channel posted "Charlie Morgan's Testimonial For William Brown" in April 2023 and an interview with Morgan later that year, and Eric Kavelaars says Morgan introduced him to Brown.^31,32,33
